But I do wonder what will happen if the recall fails.

I heard on TV that Obama had been asked to visit the state and support
the recall. But he did not. I'd suggest that if the recall fails
-- a lot of Democrats in other states may hold Obama's absence
responsible. And if they do, it means he could lose several swing
states.

No reason to think about it any longer... Walker wins in Wisconsin.

Big Unions have seen their day... and now will begin to slowly wither away
from the historical scene, as they grown too greedy in democracies that should
not be held hostage to one group of workers willing to bring the nation's
entire economy to her knees simply to gratify their own selfish demands.

Unions as they now exist tend to form unholy alliances with other unions,
where if one union goes on strike, other unions strike in sympathy, ad infinitum.
Believing as always, that strength is in numbers, which was relevant years ago,
but no longer does anything but stifle both competition and hiring of the most
capable and industrious. It could be seen in this recall attempt as all Unions
banded together as if being struck a mortal blow against maintaining a level
of mediocrity in the workplace, protected by Unions.

And in that departure, which will surely come as night follows day, there will
be less sorrow over Unions losing their grip on obscene power - which always
corrupts - then anyone expected as little as a decade ago. There was a time
when the Unions fulfilled a sacred obligation to bring a fair wage to workers.
That time has passed - and now Unions, smothering everything in their path
except what suits their personal egos, have condemned themselves to failure
and shameful ruin. Because of greed.

Wisconsin has spoken, and the citizens have clearly spoken for how the majority
of Americans feel.
