they keep finding oil, and natural gas

Yep, they do, but it does not change the fact that they are finite
resources.

Yep, the same way that land in Hawaii is finite. The big difference is that
they do not keep finding land in Hawaii.

Well, that is not exactly true. The Big Island is growing.

****
True enough...but nobody - repeat, nobody - lives on that growing part of
the Big Island. Now instead of talking about the Big Island where only 14%
of Hawaii's population lives, talk about Oahu, where something like 70% of
Hawaii's population lives.

Well, yes. But these islands were all the result of volcanic actions. So, it is just a matter of time, unless the government decides to prevent it from happening, that someday, sometime in the future, people will start to use it.

Is Oahu growing? Is new land being found in Oahu for that 70% or so?
How about Maui, Molokai, and Lanai with 11% of Hawaii's population? Is new
land being found there?

Oh course not...no active volcanoes, on those islands. Of course, if Haleakala every blows its top, that would be another matter entirely.

Kauai with its 5% of Hawaii's population? Is Kauai growing?

Land is not growing, no active volcanoes.
