California was the Golden West. The model. The dream. Now, says The
Economist
magazine, it's Texas on top. What does that mean for the country?
On PRI near you: http://www.onpointradio.org/

It means, ignore the federal government whenever possible. Refuse to
be bought by the crooks in DC. Tell them you don't trust them and for
them to get the hell off YOUR PROPERTY! Look it up dammit! For every
dollar you send to DC, you get only 37 cents worth of value/services
back. Surely you can't believe that is a good deal.

Did you enjoy the show? I was diverted away.

... I had no idea that Texas had a abandoned defective Soviet nuclear power station in it, whose concrete dome was held down by huge iron chains to keep it from exploding, or that the Texas legislature met in a huge, decaying, cut marble enclosure. ... The fact that the whole dream went to black and white around the time that I was climbing up one of the huge chains to enter the radioactively polluted abandoned Texas Soviet reactor, or that the whole scene was strobing so that I looked like I was a character in Lang's "Metropolis", and that the inside of the reactor looked like a scene out of "The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari" can only be considered as a added bonus in a really fun dream. ...
