Not my cup of tea at all. Bothers me that they
are so selective in their victims. They have to be cute, rich,
controversial or have some other hook. Kind of says we don't much
care if folks are poor and ugly.

I don't particularly like Nancy Grace....a bit too intense and emotional for
my taste. However, it's possiblethat you're missing the point. She takes
on those cases involving cute, etc. not because that's the way the victim
was, but because it's a way to attract public attention to an entire class
of cases that include the poor and the ugly as well as the rich and cute
which otherwise might go entirely unnoticed by the public. She may be
trying to make the public aware and to get them to exert pressure on whoever
might be responsive to address the situation better than it's been in the
past.

Are you aware of her own story that made her such a crusader? Her
fiance was murdered when she was a young woman. That sent her to
law school. And she made quite a name for herself as a prosecutor.
She was cited a few times for playing fast and loose with the rules,
although this is not uncommon for prosecutors.

The problem with Nancy Grace -- and I used to watch her as a
commentator often on Court TV -- is that too often she tries to
take the place of judge and jury. In certain cases she exhibits
extreme bias not borne out by known facts at the time. And since
she has had her own program -- no longer appearing with other legal
experts to balance her -- she seems to have become far too quick
to reach judgments and even reckless at times.

I used to enjoy watching live trials on Court TV. Especially
contests between good prosecutors and good defense attorneys.
I prefer to watch myself and form a judgment rather than have
a TV lawyer tell me what to think.

That's my impression of her as well. I never watch her for that reason.
