It's still November or hadn't you even noticed? You back to using that
screwed up crystal ball of yours again?
If you're not, then you're going to have to wait another couple of
months
to find out what the new year will bring.

Gary's just letting his unbridled optimism run away with him again.

We're definitely all different -- I'm pessimistic about the state of
the economy, unemployment, bailouts, unnecessary wars, etc. and about
the only thing I feel optimistic about is that we've elected the best
person to try to lead us out of it.

Wow ! Talk about finding a silver dollar in a dog's dropping !

For the first time in my life I am actually worried about the future
of America --- and us citizens. Like you I'm very pessimistic
about economy. For the first time in years we need experience in
the White House, and what do we get ? We get the first president
since Nixon in 1968 who has never had any kind of executive
experience. You remember Trick *** and his preoccupation with
enemies, don't you ?

Of course I remember Nixon. Are you attributing his preoccupation
with enemies to never having had an executive position? If so,
you'll have to explain the connection to me.

I don't view previous experience as being as important as you
apparently do. Jimmy Carter had been Governor of Georgia, which must
qualify as executive experience, and he didn't have the most
successful of all presidencies. Harry Truman had none, and history
has judged him as rather successful.

Intelligence and a calm demeanor are far more important to me. Obama
has clearly demonstrated the ability to inspire people, and in the
dark days we all know are coming, we need that.

You'll never convince him.....his mind (what little of it hasn't already
atrophied for lack of use) was long ago made up.
