Just because you disagree with her, doesn't make her dumb. It does
say a lot about you though.
understand
prove her dumb, there are a lot
of intelligent, right wing women politicians, Palin is light years
removed
from them as far as intelligence is concerned,
she's on the same level as brittany spears, which also explains her
popularity,
how can you people be so hoodwinked by a lying, loud mouth idiot cowboy,
or 2 of them if you include that ray gun imbecile,
and a loud mouth lying piece of ass ?
do you always go for appearance rather than substance ?
I have asked myself that question many times. THIS time it was a bit
different around here. My husband, a republican who has never voted any
other way in his life, paid close attention. He watched all the primary
debates, he paid attention to all the news stories, he listened to other
news channels than Fox. Once he acquainted himself with the real truths,
he could vote no other way, than for Obama. You could have knocked me
over with a feather. I would have never believed it in a million years!
I think the foolish choices are because they are brainwashed. They only
listen to Fox and other right wing news sources. If you can pry them
away
and let them get some real information, the light dawns. But they
usually
have their hands over their ears saying "nananananananana I can't
heeeaaaar
you". They tune the truth out. They get their information from their
churches, and from their own sources.
Someone asked him why he voted for Obama and I listened very closely. He
said that the republican party has been hijacked by the fundamentalists
and
evangelicals and that they are not realistic in their focus. I agree
with
him. All they care about are things like gays getting the right to marry
or
someone having an abortion, or theological issues, while the country falls
apart around our ears, our status in the world crumbles, and the foxes run
the henhouse.
I said precisely the same thing way back when Bush #41 was running for
reelection, i.e. - that my party (the Republican Party) had been hijacked by
a bunch of conservatives and, when I was unwilling to lurch that far to the
political right with them, they left me exposed out there on the political
continuum ripe for the plucking by the accommodating Democratic Party. They
welcomed me, made me feel at home, listened to my views, and turned me into
the moderate Democrat I consider myself to be today. I have no regrets and
I feel that I'm closer to the American mainstream as a moderate Democrat
than the entire Republican Party is, and I have the results of the election
just completed to bear me out.
