Olbermann to right-wing pundits: 'You don't matter anymore!'

In his first show since the election of President Obama, MSNBC host
Keith Olbermann gleefully mocked right wing pundits.

As be began to recite what landed them on his 'worst person in the
world' list, Olbermann tossed his notes on each and jeered, "You don't
matter anymore!"

First up, neoconservative writer Bill Kristol.

"Of Obama's election, Kristol today writes, quote, 'Sarah Palin ....'"
began Olbermann, but then paused.

"Wait a minute. What's the difference what he wrote? Bill Kristol, you
don't matter anymore!"

Next up, "comedian" radio show host Rush Limbaugh.

"Ok, our runner up, comedian Rush Limbaugh, who told his disbelieving
sheep today that after Obama's election, the conservative movement
needs ... Needs to ..."

Olbermann paused, then threw his hands up in the air.

"Wait a minute! What's the difference what he said? Comedian Rush
Limbaugh, you don't matter anymore!" jeered the Countdown host.

And finally, Keith's "Worst Person in the World," Fox News television
host Bill O'Reilly.

"And our winner, Bill-O the clown, who insisted that John McCain
failed because, quote, 'He's not a...'"

Olbermann paused for a final time, grinning slyly.

"Wait a minute! What's the difference what he said? Bill-O the clown,
you don't matter anymore! Bill Orely [intentional mispronunciation],
today's worst person ... Who doesn't matter anymore ... In the world!"

I wonder why it is that left wingers seem to do well on television,
but apparently have a problem with radio, while right wingers like
Limbaugh, for example, make millions with radio programs?

Rachel Madow, now on MSNBC following Olbermann in the evening,
began on Air America, liberal radio, and still has a program
there.

She was offered a spot of her own after becoming very popular as
a frequent guest on Olbermann's show. Very different style and
worthwhile listening to.

Olbermann, Maddow and Bill Maher's Real Time are must-see shows for
me.....

While I like to hear what Olbermann has to say, the measure of a real winner
is his or her ability to do so without the need to rub salt in wounds.  IOW,
where Maher and Jon Stewart might use feathers, Olbermann uses a sledge
hammer.  Or, if you will, some deliver their messages in a Cadillac whereas
others use a dump truck.
You already can figure out what kind of vehicle I believe Keith uses.

He's clearly not what I would call a class act.

It looks to me like Rachel Maddow is going to be a real force for
Republicans to have to reckon with in the future. She's humorous,
entertaining, fun, and a lot easier on the eyes than Bill O'Reilly,
for instance. Come to think of it, Olbermann and Chris Matthews might
not be too crazy about the competition either.

I understand Matthews is considering a run for a Senate seat in
Pennsylvania.

I agree that Maddow is a class act.

Presumably Matthews would run as a Democrat since he has worked in the
government before as a Democrat, I believe. I would guess there are
some Democrats, though, who haven't forgotten about all the mud he
threw at Bill Clinton during the Monica thing. I remember it got so
bad that some people were calling CNBC "The Impeachment Channel" at
the time. I would bet Hillary and bill haven't forgotten it.
