I foolishly did the upgrade to Firefox 3 about a month ago. Since
then, I have frequent crashes and it gets worse now.

Had an automatic update to 3.02 today and now the URL bar does not
work. I type in addresses but nothing happens?

Also, the navigation bar does not show any of the sites I had placed
there for quick launch.

hmmmmmmm pause for thought.

After starting this item, I decided to do a quick search using IE for
potential problems and got this as a possible fix. It worked.

If anyone else is having problems with menus and toolbars

put it into safemode and reset toolbars and menus.

I upgraded to Firefox 3 a couple of weeks back and have had no
problems. I'm using an HP laptop with Vista.

I made a terrible mistake. I was busy trying to download burnaware and
firefox asked if I would like to update. I said yes with the result that
I'm now using IE. I switched because while I'm sure they will fix the
problem with the upgrade, they need to change the way they provide fixes. I
could offer a few suggestions, but no one in the Unix community ever listens
so I'll just talk to MS.

I tried IE and google's chrome, but I'm back to firefox and will wait for an update that has cooked long enough to be eatable.
