Obama, as the Fannie and Freddie M's crashed, gave a rally speech wherein
he said "Americans cannot afford another wait and see government." Shortly
after 3 different reports asked him about the F&F mess, his response to
all three "we'll have to wait and see." Today he gave a speech after
speaking to his economic advisors in Florida, his response "we'll have to
wait and see." Which is it Dems, tell me I'm dying to know, does your
candidate mean that HE can afford to wait and see? Because this economic
crisis started months ago and he has yet to address it other than to say
"we'll have to wait and see." So I ask who can afford to wait and see?

He isn't the president yet. If he makes too many comments he gets accused
of being presumptuous, and then he gets his ideas stolen by the opposition.
So we have to wait until after the election to find out what he stands
for? That doesn't seem logical. If either candidate wants people to
know how they will govern, it seems to me they should be out there
telling us how they would handle the situation right now.
Ron
Obama listed five points he wanted to see in the bailout plan.
He was quite clear about that.
Don't you think anyone would want to see the final product
before giving it an absolute imprimature?
He also said he told the Democrats in Congress he would be
willing to defer a bankruptcy court plan for homeowners to
a separate bill to be voted on after agreement is reached
on the bailout bill and it has passed. He said he didn't
want to delay passage of the bailout bill by loading it with
measures that could be debated later.
Does that satisfy you?
You need to talk to Evelyn... she seems to think Senator Obama hasn't
said anything. Read her message again:
"He isn't the president yet. If he makes too many comments he gets
accused of being presumptuous, and then he gets his ideas stolen by
the opposition."
Ron
I defer to Rita as being better informed on that.
