All in all, she seems pretty good.

All in all, she seems to be as qualified as any of the other 40 or 45
governors whose names nobody knows who've done hardly enough to attract
anyone's attention. Day before yesterday, I'd be willing to bet that not a
single person in a hundred outside of Alaska had ever heard of her by name.
And yet you think she seems good enough to run the country and be capable of
pushing a button that'd be capable of destroying the world.

You sure do set low standards for a vice presidential candidate. You want
to elect the oldest guy ever to run for the presidency in the history of the
country.....and to fill his shoes in the event of his untimely demise (which
should not be that much unexpected considering his age) you think a beauty
queen (Miss Where?) and a cheerleading squad aficianado would be good enough
to take his place.

Have you taken leave of your senses? Or is it that you think that the rest
of us have?

AFAIAC, she's worse than a poor choice.....she brings nothing of value to
the table. As bad as Mitt Romney might have been to some Republicans, he'd
have been a better choice that she is. At the very least, he had name
recognition even if it was negative to a lot of people.

George Z.

I think she's a gift to the Democrats.

Then you ought to think twice. She's no gift to the Democrats. She's a
big danger, because she takes away much of Obama's attacks, and raises
McCain's perception, as well as appealing to disaffected hillary voters
who KNOW that Obama doesn't have the right to be where he is by virtue
of his lack of experience and having not paid his dues, so to speak.
Her selection will keep the Democratic party disunited, by offering
those voters the choice that a good number of those 18 million voted
for, which is now unavailable to them, and likely serve to elect McCain.

Governor Sarah Palin's story and experience dwarf Barack Obama's.
She's run a state and a town. Obama's never run anything but his gums..- Hide quoted text -

I have not been enthusiastic about McCain, but his choice of Palin for
VP changes that. The more I know about her, the better I think of
her. She has a handsome husband who will be at her side and a
handicapped daughter which will go well for her with the public. In
fact I have a great deal in common with her. I had four children, a
handsome husband and a handicapped child.
