It looks like McCain and Rove's propaganda is working, at
least on you, Gary.

Can I help it if great minds think alike ?

Hmm McCain and Rove as "great minds", eh? Well, a tarantula
has a "great mind" for catching bugs, so in that sense I guess it's
possible to use the term. I'd be much readier to say you have a
"great mind" in a sense more meaningful to me than that of the
tarantula. You do seem to think about principles occasionally,
more than is visible to me in McCain and infinitely more than is
visible in Rove.

But seriously -- we need to take a break from politics. We're over
three months -- and two conventions -- away from election day. This
stuff being talked about today will be forgotten by then. Boobus
Americanus has a memory of only one month. At least that's what
H. L. Mencken use to say.

If soc.retirement stops talking about politics, we're going to
melt away like that witch in the Wizard of Oz.
