Today is the official last day for Microsoft Windows XP sales. Some
corporations have decided to stick with Windows XP for a while,
though, and maybe wait for the next Windows release. As for me, I'm
wondering if I can simply keep Windows XP forever (or until I kick the

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Intel has reportedly decided to keep Windows XP on
the company's 80,000 workstations and skip the Vista Upgrade.
According to sources at Intel the company decided after a costs and
benefits analysis to stick with the XP operating system.
Intel has worked closely with Microsoft to align hardware and software
over the years. Some say it’s possible that Intel could go with the
upgrade at a later date. The next version of the Windows operating
system, Windows 7, expected to go on sale in January 2010.
A number of computer makers, like Acer had anticipated that increased
demand for Microsoft Vista models would bolster sales. To date, this
has not been the case due to below expectation demand for the new
operating system in the commercial sector.
