I feel it is folly for any of us to guess at what Hillary might do - or

be that it would keep her in the limelight, and get her ready for
another presidential run, after Obama has perhaps served two terms. And,
perhaps she will be satisfied in remaining as a Senator.Or, perhaps she
wants to sit on the Supreme Court - and become pals with that Ginsberg
liberal - God help us - but I really doubt that since, alhough it is a
very impressive position, but it nails her down almost forever, and she
could not be as much of an activist as she could as a president.  plus,
there is "Bill"to consider.  What is the best position for her from
which she can muzzle her "beloved."
Finally, if she is a patriot, she should consider what would be her best
plan of action in order to be somewhat effective in beating McCain.
Then there is the remote explanation that, perhaps,Hillary does not
necessarily want to have to deal with a very active and  forceful and
radical first lady (Michelle) with whom Hillary might disagree on some
topics, should she (Hillary) be the Vice President.
Oh, well.  her die is cast -Obama will win, and I am one unhappy lady.

That makes us two "unhappy" ones. But I think that Obama will offer
the Vice Presidency to her. He just has to convince his campaign
staff. Not a good idea to say at this point if they don't want him to
run with her. The press can speculate. But in the end, they never got
to figure out the vote for Clinton. And they wont figure this one out
either. Obama wont be complaining about his female supporters urging
him to choose Clinton any more.

The problem may also be that Cliinton can't let her staff know either,
and perhaps also that McCain may be looking for a young black female
as a running mate-- like Condelessa Rice. I suspect that Carly Fiorino
may more than fit the bill-- I think that's a good choice myself. It
certainly fends off people who say that he doesn't know enough
economics. The Obama people want to wait for McCain to choose first--
but the problem is that the Democratic National Convention comes first!

It is premature for Obama to make a choice of VP.  An important
consideration is that the two who will run together are both
comfortable with the other.  Obama and Clinton have some time to
find that out.  They need some time to make the switch from
being adversaries to a new relationship.

One can cite reasons she would be the best choice and reasons
she might not be.  I am willing to let Obama decide in his own
time.

There's a period now when Obama can benefit from Clinton supporters.
But later on he may find them committed to other issues. He doesn't
have time to waste in establishing a new relationship with the
majority of voters who voted for Clinton. In the long run I think that
he can win without Clinton, but he needs to unite Democrats behind a
Democratic party. I was listening to many of Clinton's supporters on
the news. They may not vote for McCain, but they certainly haven't
committed to vote for Obama.

Maybe I'm naïve. but I find it hard to believe that
many people who wanted to vote for Hillary will vote
for McCain over Obama, or stay home, when push
comes to shove.  That would really be cutting off
one's nose to spite one's face.- Hide quoted text -

I think this may be the first election where the vote will be for the
VPs rather than the candidates for President. In the meantime, I wish
aat least one of them would hurry up, McCain will probably chose
first, we'll probably have to wait until august for Obama's choice.
