I'm not usually a big fan of William the NeoCon. But today -- in
this article -- he sure got it right. Barry is the only human I've

You have to be kidding -- or brain dead.

I laughed my way through this Kristol op-ed.

Laugh your way through it again -- but this time with your eyes open
-- and you'll see you missed the point. If Kristol were calling
Obama a draft dodger -- I'd agree that Barry was in the company of all
the prominent Republicans. That was not Kristol's point. He was
pointing out that Obama had neglected to mention military service as
an honorable form of public service which should be considered by the
graduates.

Talk about missing a point.....Obama may have missed it, but neither are
you
within a country mile of it.
If Obama didn't recommend something to the new graduates that he knew
nothing about, it's not nearly as dishonorable as suggesting a hazardous
career to those graduates that you yourself went out ot your way to avoid
out of fear of being subjected to the pain and suffering involved in
possibly sustaining injury or death. Those who would suggest such a
career
path to others after they had rejected the opportunity to follow it
themselves out of fear are nothing less than despicable. It's the
epitome
of the "let's you and him fight" syndrome found in the speech of cowards.

I served our country on active military duty during WWII, Korea, and Viet
Nam. I therefore earned the right to pontificate on the subject of
serving
one's country. Those who can't match it need to STFU.

I may not have earned it -- but the deaths of my many ancesotrs who
died defending the Constitution -- gives me the right to bloviate,
also.

I'm sorry, but that's a point I have to take exception to. What your
ancestors did for the country earned THEM the right to bloviate or
pontificate on the subject, but that right is not genetic. Every generation
has to earn its own because, lacking that, the graves of those ancestors
would be spinning at the outrage of having to listen to their successors
rant on topics they'd be ill-equipped to speak on.

In short, you HAVE TO pay your dues.....there are no short cuts and it
doesn't get passed on to you in an ancestor's will. I have no problem
thanking your ancestors for their contributions, but I don't have to thank
you for squat if you haven't earned the right.

AFAIAC, on this subject you're done. You can rattle on about it if you want
to......our First Amendment gives you that right, but the reader has a right
to know that what comes from you comes from a book or from tall tales from
an ancestor but not from any kind of life experience.

But we can't blame Barry. The only military operations he saw while
growing up were camel charges by the Indonesian calvary.

And the only military operations those neocon chickenhawks that you're
championing and defending ever saw were in the newreels. At least if
you're
watching an actual camel charge, you're watching the camel *** fly
through
the air while they're working up a head of steam and you get an idea of
what
it smells like.

I agree the neocons are chicken sh*t. But Kristol's point was not
about Obama being a draft dodger -- ala Bush, Clinton, Limbaugh et
al. It was in NOT offering the military as an alternative. All of
the chicken hawks would suggest any young man -- other than their own
-- should join the service. They love the military -- from the
outside. It's just a coincidence that when their country calls them
-- they have other priorities.

But what disgusted me most about Obama's self serving speech was the
fact that most of these political types who have lived off the public
dole all their life -- try and make it sound like they are altruistic
humanitarians. When all they have ever done in public was promote
their own self interest. Sort of like their idols -- the Kennedy's.

Which reminds me, I see Teddy has opted for laser surgery. Anyone
want to bet the beam will miss his brain ?

Cheap shot.....not very becoming. Too bad it didn't take when your mama
tried to teach you to not speak ill of the dead or to wish the sick or
injured well. Some day, you're going to be sick or injured and it won't
make you feel very good to realize that people who don't even know you
joke
about your survival to your face not to mention behind your back. But
that's what you're doing to your mama's everlasting shame.

Yeah, my Mama told me not to cuss the dead or criticize the sick,
crippled or crazy. And I seldom ever do it. But when it comes to
the Kennedys -- somebody has to. Otherwise they get another free
ride.

Having one shot down and lost in WWII and two others assassinated is a
mighty funny definition of a free ride. Has your family paid as much in
your lifetime?

(---"...I am pleased to report that Senator Kennedy's surgery was
successful and accomplished our goals,".... Dr. Allan Friedman, chief
of the division of neurosurgery in the surgical department at Duke in
Durham, N.C., said in a statement about 2 p.m....."---)

It looks like I was wrong. They did find a brain in there.

Yeah you were wrong.....and you should have stopped there while you were
ahead. By their childishness and mean spiritedness shall they be known.
