Why do so few people use Usenet?
There are formats now in the net that are easier to use
for such conversations. They don't require a news server
or news reader. Yahoo Groups, mailing lists that deliver
the discussions to your computer by Email.
Usenet has never commanded a large number of those who
use the internet. More sites now offer "comment" sections
where readers can speak their piece as well.
You are correct but beyond that, most people have never even heard of
use net. It isn't pushed by ISPs because they cannot make money with
it. There are no ads to click.
