I would think that would apply to most people, who only get their information from the TV news outlets, or by listening to one of the people with an axe to grind, like Limbaugh. But it also seems to me, how we get our information depends on the "choices" we make.

The news media has turned politics into a soap opera. I imagine it's always been this way, to some extent, since the founding of the Republic, but it's never been this bad. I used to watch Hardball with Chris Matthews, but quit watching it completely about a year ago when he abandoned any pretension of providing news or information on the issues. I used to also watch the Fox financial programs on Saturday, but they're really just a forum for spouting political ideology.
Us guys used to make fun of women for watching their soaps every day and getting addicted to them. Who would have ever thought that we would fall prey to basically the same thing camouflaged as political news by clever network writers and "analysts" competing for the largest audience while pushing their own agenda. The most scary thing, though, is that the newsmedia can now determine who wins elections, to a large extent, depending on how they chose to twist and spin what they want you to hear.
