I'm reading more and more of this from the right. It's amusing, really;
a foot shot for sure. If Obama has a weakness then it is that he says
very little of substance, relying rather upon hand-waving and elegant
rhetoric. He has undoubted charisma and he is unabashedly using it, as
he should. The right would do better to (repeatedly) point out that
Obama really hasn't answered any of the tough questions rather than hint
at something sinister, which almost certainly is not there.
The thing I worry about with Obama is he has not come out with any
strong support of Israel. I don't know whether this is purposeful, or simply
that he expects that his support for the existence of Israel is understood.
It may not matter at this moment, since it is not a done-deal that he will
be the Democratic nominee, but I suspect if he does become the
Democratic nominee he will have to fully clarify his position vis-à-vis
the middle-east. I, for one, will be looking for that strong support
as a basic condition for any vote for him.
