This kind of thing is why, despite the opposition of the Bush
administration, we need labeling to tell us where things come
from. The pet poisoning of late 2006 and early 2007, and
many other instances of contaminated goods from China,
show that food and medicine from China simply cannot be
trusted. The American people should not have to pay with
their lives for the smooth flow of profits in the operations of
captains of industry.
