What about Hillary Clinton? She was actually a victim of the
womanizing yet the right wing's hate for her seems to be just as
intense as their hate for Bill Clinton, if not even more so.
I couldn't say as precisely. She gets a lot of anger-by-association,
I
suppose, but unlike Bill, she's seen as an ideological leftist by
many.

When one considers the creed at West Point, which goes
something like : " I will not lie, cheat, or steal... or tolerate
those who do "
... one has to include Mrs Clinton in that transgression. She
tolerated his philandering and embarassment purely for
political self interest..... In the minds of many, anyone who
puts up with that stuff is of the same character as the one
who performs it. If she would have kicked his sorry ass
out, I would probably be a big supporter......

The last sentence I particularly agree with. Had she divorced him after
the
Monica incident, I think she's have a good deal of popularity on the
right,
at least to the extent that they would see her senatorial record for
what
it
is (moderate left with some right-of-center leanings) instead of
labeling
her somewhat unfairly as a hard-left socialist. Women's groups also took
a
hit amongst the right as part of her fallout, as they are now viewed as
hypocritical by continuing to support her.
Regarded as hypocritical by who?
The political right.
As noted, they don't count because they wouldn't vote
for a Democrat anyway.
Only by the people
who gloated at Bill Clinton being hounded from every
conceivable direction, even accusing an accusation of
murder, long before they could sink their teeth, finally, into
the juicy albeit politically insignificant Monical Lewinsky
affair, after failing to make any mud from the myriad more
damning accusations stick.
You're welcome to think what you will of Hillary. You'd
never support her anyway, or any Democrat worthy of
being called a Democrat.
Untrue. Obama has a good chance of picking up my vote, because he's
economics are market-driven.
You haven't really revealed your politics.
Federalist free marketer with libertarian leanings. I don't have a viable
candidate in the mix, and haven't in my lifetime. So I make do.
Ah, Libertarian - guilty! I've mentioned my friend now living
in Kentucky who calls himself a Libertarian. He keeps sending
me pump pieces on Ron Paul by email. I regard Libertarianism
as hyper-"conservatism" (with quotes), though it seems to draw
its numbers from both the right and the left.
He bought his house and land in Kentucky because he was
convinced that GWBush was going to sink "the economy"
and the dollar. He was right about that, but unfortunately
real-estate has been losing value too lately, even in terms of
depreciated dollars. "A tsunami sinks all boats" to reverse
the hackneyed trope.
They seem
pretty right-wing to me, but if you'd seriously consider
Obama, which I find questionable in practice if not in
theory, then you wouldn't be quite so. At any rate,
though, there aren't enough of you to count very much
in deciding between Hillary and Obama.
Waddyatalkinabout? There are at least seventeen of us.
Your group perhaps outnumbers mine by sixteen! :-(
