Because of my study of anthropology I know well that the nuclear
family as it is today has existed for a very short time over the
course of human history. The extended family in some configuration
was the norm. And Hillary Clinton was not off base when she once
said "It takes a village to raise a child."

I was thinking about that while reading this thread earlier. The
older I get and the more I see of people and groups, the more I
think the BEST way a child can be raised is by the village.
