Evelyn - I doubt that your comparison of your own Father, living with the old and true and tried (!!!) and fighting off the "new' and then the status of Obama's Grandmother. I feel that, until we know the facts about Obama's background - in detail - it is hard to make a judgment just why his grandmother lives the way she does - if, indeed, she does, and the reasons why that has not changed. The answer might be quite upsetting to those of us who respect Obama - or else,be fully understandable as just a quirk of old age on his grandmother's part. Too soon to tell or judge, or conjecture. Yes, it was all conjecture. I felt the original intent of the first posting was to discredit by stressing the more negative of all the possible options. I felt it was important to add that it very possibly might be a matter of personal choice, as it is in my Dad's case.

"If" it is a matter of personal choice, then we should know hte answer to that question and not have to speculate on what the answer is.

Why not speculate? I doubt that there is a rule that all things must be known. That's why we have different opinions on a whole range of issues.

Because the information should be readily available, not requiring anyone to speculate.
