Bill Clinton: George H.W. Bush will help President Hillary
ORANGEBURG, South Carolina (CNN) - Former President Bill Clinton said
Monday that the first thing his wife Hillary will do when she reaches
the White House is dispatch him and his predecessor, President George
H.W. Bush, on an around-the-world mission to repair the damage done to
America's reputation by the current president -- Bush's son, George W.
Bush.

Anyone foolish enough to snicker at Bill Clinton's political skills ought
to
remember that they were quite good enough to get most of his program
through
a reluctant Republican-controlled Congress. Those predisposed to sell
him
short ought to be prepared to dine on crow.

In a statement sent to CNN Tuesday afternoon, former President Bush's
chief of staff Jean Becker said that he "wholeheartedly supports the
President of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has
never discussed an 'around-the-world-mission' with either former
President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission
is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play
around the world as the beacon of hope for freedom and democracy. . . ."

Snicker.

You just might be a tad early snickering. Let's wait and see what happens
if a newly installed president gets on the phone to George HWB and asks him
to do some international fence mending for the nation with Bill Clinton.
Wanna bet he doesn't say no? Think about what would happen if he
did.....the negative PR for a president who turned his back on his nation's
needs would be immense. After all, Clinton didn't say no when George W.
asked him to go with his daddy, did he?
