Joe Avelon put on his GOP rose colored glasses and selectively editedOf course they are.....the two head knockers involved (al Maliki and Sadr)
out any bad news from this story. Here is the whole story:
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/afp/20070901/twl-iraq-3cd7efd_3.html
Are those glasses official GOP standard issue, Joe?
are both Shiites and poor deluded Joe thinks that they're going to set aside
their 1,000 year old bitch with the Sunnis just to make the American
invaders happy. Whether Joe and the dum dums he admires acknowledge it or
not, we are uninvited guests in their country and they would all like to see
us get the hell out and the sooner the better. Hanging around there may
suit the political aims of the Oval Office but it's not going to stop the
killing of the Americans we've put in the middle of their civil war.
George Z.
It is not that he just ignores the bad news, but he selectively edits
these news items to eliminate any hint of something that might be
contrary to what he believes. That goes beyond ignorance. It is
partisan dishonesty. Perhaps he thinks that it is clever. Perhaps he
thinks that most people will believe anything that he posts. Perhaps he
aspires to emulate the Republican slime machine. Sad that he feels that
he has to go to these lengths to support an ideology that is failing so
disgracefully.
are damaging to the administration. Thus that they must be excised to
make his case. Pitiful. If he did it once or twice I'd pay little
attention but it is his modus operandi.
And he refuses to explain why he does this. I'd say he is cowardly
as well because he can't stand by his actions.
I explained why I do what I do in thread, "Patriotic
Terrorists: Whose Side Are You On?" last month.
You participated in the thread, so there is no excuse for
failing to read my explanation.
Let me refresh your memory, "I try to edit out material(cut
the garbage) that has nothing to do with the subject line of
the post. When I find more information from others, I will add
it. That is good editing that's enriching the subject."
Ha, ha. That is hilarious. You edit out anything that doesn't
jibe with your biases. And call that "enriching the subject."
What a joker you are. If you had faith in your views they should
be able to stand scrutiny by telling the whole story.
But thanks for at least admitting your strategy.
I see no reason to include off-subject Liberal propaganda
bull***. Give me a reason to put that kind of crap in?
I also don't include information that has nothing to do with
the subject.
Example:
"Sistani aide slain"
Following are a few paragraphs of superfluous information that
I would exclude from articles on this subject:
Early Saturday, residents of Sadr City, his northeast Baghdad
stronghold, said U.S. troops raided a section of the district
and detained eight men.
The U.S. military announced that it had detained eight men
during predawn raids targeting Shiite militiamen. It did not
say where the raids took place, but its description of the
operation was similar to that described by the Sadr City
residents.
According to residents, soldiers passed out leaflets accusing
militias of being agents of Iran and working to increase
Iranian influence in Iraq. The United States has long accused
Shiite-dominated Iran of providing weapons and training to
Shiite fighters in Iraq, an accusation Iran denies.
Also Saturday, Baghdad police reported finding the bodies of
15 unidentified men who were thought to be victims of
sectarian killings. All had been shot.
Early yesterday, residents said, U.S. military vehicles raided
a section of Sadr City, al-Sadr's northeast Baghdad
stronghold, and detained eight men.

Figures compiled by the Associated Press from police reports
nationwide show that at least 1,809 civilians were killed
across the country last month, compared with 1,760 in July.
That brings to 27,564 the number of Iraqi civilians killed
since AP began collecting data on April 28, 2005.
According to that count, civilian deaths reached a high point
during the wave of sectarian bombings, kidnappings and
killings at the end of last year - 2,172 in December and 1,967
in November.
------------------
Why not cut through the bs and get to the point in two paragraphs?
Unknown gunmen have killed an aide to Shia Grand Ayatollah Ali
al-Sistani in the southern Iraqi city of Basra overnight,
police say.
According the news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI), the armed
attackers shot dead Moslem al-Battat, the imam and preacher of
al-Orwa mosque, in the al-Farsi area of central Basra minutes
after he had finished his Prayers on Saturday.
Seems you believe you are qualified to determine what is
important and what is not. Why should anyone trust YOUR
judgment?
You post only material you believe furthers the Bush
agenda.
You are full of it. The best place for your dishonest
posts is a kill file.
But to show your dishonesty to all, a number of us will
continue to post what you left out.
And there is not a damn thing you can do about that.
So live with it.
