Does not surprise me. You do these kinds of things to try in vain toWe were eating breakfast this morning and my wife read that in the Sunday
control the increased cost of a benefit, you do not have to do these kinds
of things "if" the cost of the benefit that you promised to give was
decreasing....
paper. She said "alright, now maybe we can get the money to those that it is
supposed to go to.
One of the main problems that she, and all of her family talk about all the
time, is that when the government gets involved in something, they dumb it
all down to a cookie cutter "one size fits all" program. The poor suckers
that beg for government involvement think that everything is going to
improve up to the highest standard, but that never is the case. Two things
always happen. The program dumbs down to the lowest possible level and the
price always rises up to the lowest guaranteed price. So, if the
practitioners in NYC are getting $5000.00 for a colonoscopy and those in
Brownsville, Texas are getting $1000.00, the price in Brownsville will be
$5000.00 within 3 months. That's the way it's always been and that's the way
it will always be. It's just human nature and nothing can stop it short of
keeping the government OUT OF WHERE IT DOESN'T BELONG!
My main gripe about government programs, mainly with the farm and the VA, is
what I keep trying to tell folks. The job is done by people with an
educational level about 60% of that of their private sector counterparts,
working for about 80% of the pay and benefits using equipment that comes
from the low bidder. So, what you wind up doing is paying double for a
service that is so atrocious that you've got to go back an redo it
yourselves and that just costs you almost double. So, it's just not worth
it. That's why I refuse to participate in any of these government programs
they try to MAKE ME use.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
