We are having the worst heat wave we have had in several years.
Yesterday it was 98 and we're not expected to have a high of under 97
for at least a week.

I love being outside. From late February I do a lot of reading,
writing and thinking outside on the patio. But I won't be outside
much this week. Especially after 10:00 AM when today it reached 91.

I am glad I have a pleasant indoor hobby. I just hope y'all don't get
tired of seeing my posts this week;>
I endured weather like that living in the Midwest and then
New York City.

San Diego is at 74, nice ocean breeze, very pleasant as usual.
No air conditioning needed, just a fan.

It must be nice.

Hot weather usually doesn't bother me. It's only when it gets above
the low 90s that I begin to slow down. It was not only 98 yesterday,
but the humidity put the heat index to 103. THAT is too much. I
had a couple of outdoor projects that I wanted to get to ... but not
this week.
Alberta, Canada:
We have had 4 - 5 weeks of extreme heat with no rain. 30C-35C plus = 90F - 98F temps with no cooling at night which is unusual. Forest fires are about 100 miles away which is no distance at all with this dry landscape.
Some crops are dried out/burned as are gardens and lawns.
The are forest fires at Glacier and other parts of Montana. We postponed a trip there this weekend.
Weird weather: June was the wettest spring we have ever had while UK (where I am from originally) was very hot. July, they got the heavy rain and we got the severe heat.
Look as though the heat is continuing into August. We only had 2 days in July where the temperatures were under 30C.
We had a couple of weeks with high humidity which made things unbearable. Now we have the searing heat with 17% humidity. As the weather man said: "It's like trying to get water out of stone!"

I feel as though I have spent the summer indoors, just as I do during the winters. If it stays hot into September I'm off to San Diego where the temperatures are always perfect and they 'never' have bush fires! :-)
