I've read the other replies to this thread, and unfortunately, the only thing that we need to know and understand is the first rule of warfare: "Know your enemy."

Our enemy is not a traditional enemy that has political goals which can be negotiated. It's all or nothing with them. Their goals are primarily religious, and not political, making negotiation and the compromise which usually results, impossible. With the Taliban, it's their way, or no way, as with the rest of al Quaida.

Sadly, I concur with George. The only solution is total eradication, and the sooner the better. These are uncivilized maniac Muslims, and they will certainly kill the hostages anyway, as they do not care whether they themselves are killed. Unfortunate, but true.

You are agreeing with me, not George. They must be eradicated. Of course, that leaves the tremenduous problem of what to do with the rest of the crazy Muslims that are NOT Taliban's !!!!
There are hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of them right here within our borders.

If it were left up to me they'd have a good choice and a bad choice.

#1 GOOD CHOICE; Become baptized as a Southern Baptistimisimo
or
#2 BAD CHOICE; continue using that prayer rug and degrading all these women.
(those choosing #2 would be marched off to the "left" . . . . . . . . .

Well, I'm agreeing with you both, but separately. I agreed with George, as to what he said, and I likely agreed with you as to your solution, which went beyond what George said.
