You are precisely correct ! Granting corporations the right of
individuals
without giving them the responsibilities of individuals was a
gilt-edged
invitation to MAJOR white-collar crimes of the most serious and
treasonous
nature.

ALL large companies should be "Mutually" owned by all who own stock in
them
(some companies are now of that nature). ALL Stockholders should be
equally/personally/financially responsible for all actions by the
company.
If that could happen, we'd see many more of these Corp.CEO's and
Exec's
serving LONG terms in the big house and/or being shot by irate
stockholders.
The current setup insure that the stockholders, the government and the
other
companies they do business with are ALL screwed and corrupted.

Corporate law should become a thing of the past. I think it did not
originate in the U.S.; I think it was a part of the old
English/European
way
of doing things hundreds of years ago.

I've been preaching the abolishment of Corporate Identity as a Person
for
several years on this and other newsgroups. Makes sense to me.
Few
have
agreed with me. We are now reaping the results. We have lost our
form
of
government to anonymous irresponsible corporate interests that owe no
allegiance to ANY nation !!

Dave,

A corporation made your socks and shoes, your eyeglasses, your blood
pressure medication, farmed your food, manufactured your computer and
TV, and probably built your house. You live one hell of a lot better
than 98% of the people on this planet. Quit complaining. And the same
goes for the rest of you whiners!

Jeff
============================================================

I am well aware that international corporations (of unknown ownership
and
at
some unknown location on Planet Earth) are currently the
manufacturers/producers of most of material things that I, and others,
possess. That does not make them sacrosanct!

They owe no allegiance to the U.S. of A.

They care only for their own continued/protected existence.

They now OWN our Federal Government and as much of our State Governments
as
they wish.

They have conned their stockholders into thinking that they are actually
"owners" of a portion of their business.

They have made a farce, a joke, out of "Government of, by, for, the
people".

They will, maybe sooner than we think, replace our national government
just
as the religious controllers have replaced the government/political
entities
in the Arab world.

Maybe you can accept the above without complaining. I do not. I will
continue to speak out whenever/wherever I can for abolishing the idea of
blessing corporate crime. They, and their officers/directors, must be
held
responsible just as you and I are held responsible for criminal acts.
No
entity should be above the law. We in this country are now reaping
the
results of a system that puts corporations above the law and the
situation
will become worse, not better, as we proceed into bankruptcy and
worthless
dollars.....................

Think about that.

Come on Dave. Get a grip or they'll be sending for the guys with the
butterfly nets. )-8

You're the one that should get a grip if you don't realize what is
happening. But, don't take my word for it, check with Sir Fred; he'll
confirm the situation as I describe it.

NO entity should be above the law in our "nation of laws"....... Can you
at least agree with that?

Nah, what's good for General Motors is good for America. If you guys
don't like it here, move to Bangladesh, return to the earth, and
experience a more spiritual life. Me, I'll stick to good old American
consumerism. And by the way, did you notice that the Dow is hovering
around 14,000? For that you can thank US corporations that have made
us an economic super power, and have provided you with one of the
finest standards of living on the planet.

Seriously, if you don't like it here, where would you rather live?
Answer that one, Dave.

Jeff
===========================================================

I could have almost predicted your exact response ---- before I read it
!!!

You help me make my point. "General Motors" INDEED ! They are closing
up dealerships right and left all 'round the country. They're still
humongous but in serious trouble. Hope they snap out of it; I just bought
two new Buicks.

I like consumerism and I like all the lifelong entitlements of various
types. I like our affluent standard of living, make no mistake. I like
fighting wars too under the right conditions and for the right purposes.
But, I DO NOT, repeat DO NOT, like the idea of doing these things when they
put our national deficit up around $10 Trillion! More each year of that
debt is owned by foreign entities. No, no, no, no! If continued
indefinitely that course lease to collapse of the currency; and foreign
entities will be the ones that decide when that will happen. Think about
Germany, Brazil, Mexico, et al. if you think a currency collapse or runaway
inflation is a joke. You need to study these things, Jeff. What do you
suspect will happen to our stand of living then, my conschtorchiated friend
!!! ????

BTW, we are now down the list a bit compared to certain other countries when
it comes to several major measureables in the Standard of Living.

If wanted to live in another country, I'd be there! But, this is my
country. Always will be. That doesn't mean I like the direction I see us
headed with these last two or three Federal Administrations. I'm not
about to be ready to lower my flag yet !

But, get this love of international corporations out of you head, Jeff.
They'll abandon us to the world of Islam if/whenever it suits their purposes
and insure s their continued existences.

McDave..........
