It is remarkably fast but lacks the features I appreciate the most in
Firefox -- the Adblock extension and also the BlockFlash extension
which allows you to selectively view Flash content.
Safari is said to be twice as fast as IE and 1.6 times faster than
Firefox. Seems about right to me after using it.
You can easily designate the type face and size you prefer. If I was limited to a choice between Internet Explorer and Safari it
would be Safari hands down.
Because I hate being forced to look at ads and particularly
Flash type ads I can't make up my mind whether to stick with
Firefox or switch to Safari. I haven't been able to find similar
addons for Safari.
The download and install of Safari is fast and if you run
XP or Vista you might want to give it a look.

I downloaded the Safari installer, and when I ran it to try out Safari I was mystified by its examination of all my drives. Deciding nevertheless to proceed, I continued the installation process up to the point where I was required to accept the terms of the End User License Agreement (EULA). When I read that Safari would transmit the details of my computer system to Apple I aborted the installation and deleted the file I had downloaded from the Apple website. Steve may have a super-duper browser, but what business is it of his what I have on my hard drive?
Phooey.
