Glad that Odom has decided to speak out. All too often
the military treats it's own as traitors.

Actually, I believe the overwhelming part of our flag ranks are bona fide
patriots. Unfortunately, they learn that they don't have the luxury of being
able to serve the country we all love without first acquiring the approval of
the puny minds in the civilian segment of the Executive Branch, starting (of
course) with its head.

So, they bend their knees, osculate the appropriate nether regions and then move
on in hopes that lightning will strike and enlightenment will come that will
permit them to shed their constraints and actually serve with the honor they so
badly want to display.

UInfortunately, the lightning does not strike, the Shinsekis retire and the
Myers' and Paces cover themselves with anything but glory. I congratulate
General Odom......it's never too late to show intestinal fortitude and act like
a patriot. It might even become contagious.
