Let me see.... As I recall, some of the leading newspaper editorials who
are generally on "your side" also blasted her trip...so are you saying
that they were "influenced" by "right wing" operatives? "If" that were
true, then I say, "good for them"...I hope they are more successful, more
often....
Some editors like to stir the pot. It boosts their readership. Maybe
they're jealous that they weren't invited along for the trip? Whatever....
Americans should be aware that we let the President lie to us on Iraq.
Let's not let that happen with Syria and [Iran]. She's just doing her job.
lie over and over again. It is called a double standard, or hypocrisy, or
an outright lie. Calling someone else a liar, while lying yourself, is not
a very good way to start a conversation... None of you has ever been able
to prove that the guy "lied" and when asked to support your claim that he
"lied", you simply ignore answering the questions asked, or come up with
another "lame excuse" which has nothing to do with the question asked.
Of course it's hard to prove lying, because the president refuses to
testify. Hopefully the Democrats will continue to investigate this point.
For example, regarding uranium allegation which is false, as the president,
the buck stops at him for this lie. He has to take responsibility for that.
It's not enough for him to say that "mistakes were made".
So, you admit that you do not know if he lied or not, yet you insist on
calling him a liar? As for the uranium argument, can you say with absolute
certainly that he knew what he said about the uranium was false? Because if
you cannot prove that, then you do not know if he "lied" or not, do you?
Jerry, you're just splitting hairs and being silly here. The president needs
to be accountable for giving wrong information to the people. He really can't
blame anybody else. In fact, he should be cooperating with Congress to see
just who is lying in his administration as Congress does it's job of oversight
of the administration. I suspect that the President will have to take the
blame until we can find out who has been lying to him. With that said, most
people feel that Cheney and Rove have been feeding a lot of fantasy about the
war to the president.
Al, in case you didn't know it, splitting hairs is what Jerry always does. I
gave him up for Lent after I realized that I had no hairs left for him to split.
Surely you've noticed that buck passing and excuse making is what he and the
rest of the Bushites do best and do consistently. Responsibility is an English
word that isn't in their vocabulary and therefore never finds its way into
anything they ever have to say about who started the mess.
