Look at the data yourself

and get some scientific literacy, don't depend on the
popular media.

"Now, during the time period of 1978 through 1998, the mean
value of daily averages for the solar constant from six
different satellites yielded a solar constant of 1366.1 Wm2.
This same source offers a minimum - maximum range of the
readings for 1363 - 1368 Wm2. Adjustments yielded "a solar
constant" calculated to 1366.22 Wm2."

Nothing is changing on the sun end of things. What is
constantly changing are the temperatures in various regions,
the CO2 and water contents, the amount of energy reflected
by clouds, the amount reaching the the various surfaces, the
amount relfected there, And tha amount finally absorbed.
The latter differs greatly for various land types, the
ocean, the snow and the ice.

All these things vary, but the sun's is varying on a small
and constant way, itwaxes and wanes slightly with the
sunspot cycle. But it is like the "old man river", and just
keeps shinning along in the same way, heating up slowly on
the billion year scale, but not on the yealy scale.

Study, Jeff, this is more complicated than you apparently
know.

And it is more complicated than you know.

With the increase in sun spots there has been a change in the
frequency distribution of the total radiation and in solar wind.
With increases in both high energy radiation (UV) and strength
of the solar wind.

This in turn affects high altitude nucleation which determines
cloud cover and size of droplets.

There is an excellent correlation between temperature and sun
spot count. We do not need much of an effect.
