I am exactly serious, Jerry. You need to review what you wrote. You did NOT make a legitimate request for information. Your post was a subterfuge for starting an opinionated discussion.

I wondered how many of us actually know what the two terms we use all the time actually mean. In an effort to educate myself, I am going to start to do some web searches to see what I can find, and to share them with you. The first site I found on this subject matter is below, but I intend to do more searches to see what else I can find.....on the subject....

What you have is hardly an unbiased source. In fact, it personifies, relying on appeals to emotion( which is a logical fallacy ), precisely what a Liberal, or Conservative is NOT.
I would agree with that, and that is the reason I asked for others to put their two cents in. That was the entire purpose of the posting....
Not really, Jerry. when you post something ostensibly seeking information, when in reality, you aren't seeking that information, but have a predetermined opinion, what you posted is a dishonest message. Witness your reply to Lundberg's reply to me.
You cannot be serious. I have made every attempt to understand the arguments all of you have made to support your positions on this issue. What you are asking me to do is, to willingly accept your definition of the truth, even if I do not believe it is the truth. You certainly don't want me to do that do you?
Look, everyone of us, are opinionated. There is not one conversation that anyone of us has with those we debate, that does not have strong opinions about our positions, because if we did not have strong opinions we would not have a discussion for the most part.....
Jerry, there's nothing wrong with having an opinion. But state it as such. Don't, for whatever reason make believe that you really aren't attempting to start a discussion in which you have an opinion and mask it as an innocent request for information.
