Somehow the English language keeps being destroyed.
As a kid I liked the TV run of the '40s Walt Disney short "Three
Gay Caballeros". Imagine telling the kids of today that Donald
Duck was not a homosexual in spite of the title and only having
nephews.
***: Imagine sitting in a symphony orchestra and have the
German conductor (correctly) address you as a ***. (In spite
of being heterosexual). For those without a musical background,
a bassoonist plays an instrument that is known as fagott in
French, *** in German (and England) and fagotto in Italian.
It comes from the words for a bundle of sticks -- which the
instrument has the appearance. So it was common to address the
bassoonist as *** for the instrument he plays. just as the
drums would be addressed as percussion. And the classic music
scores list that as the instrument.
So you were confused by what Coulter meant by her comment?
I guess those lacking your erudition were not.
