NO!!! The job is not finished. The job is finished when we succeed in
having a country that is more likely to be friendly to our interests, not
a country that is more likely to be unfriendly to our interest.

Then we'd best prepare to be there forever (which cannot happen).

That's saying we should police and reform all countries on our planet that
show any dislike for us. That, also, will not happen. Because we cannot
afford that and it is not possible and there is more than enough policing
and reforming that needs to be done right here at home. Our best bet it to
keep them engaged in sectarian violence, i.e., fighting among themselves;
which they seem to be prone to do.
We've done our job in the Mid-East; time to leave them to their own
miserable way of life.

We should
have all learned what happens when we do not finish the job. We left
Afghanistan, and the Taliban took over, and as a result 9/11 happened.
Which has resulted in the US spending a whole lot of money, and sending
our military into harms way, to try and defeat an enemy, which is only
because of 9/11.
