Just a minor nit pick, but in the Pacific, what are called hurricanes in the
Atlantic are called typhoons. So it's not Hurricane John, it's Typhoon John.

resort will be taken to shelters, by force if necessary, before the
storm pummels the region on Friday.

"Those who do not want to leave will be taken away by the army," Gajon
said.
