I think she is saying that many don't use hearing aids who could
benefit from them. But the high cost is certainly an obstacle for
many. Eyeglasses are cheap in comparison -- hearing aids cost
into the hundreds and thousands of dollars. My Medicare HMO
does cover a pair of glasses every two years if my prescription
changes. Not so, hearing aids.
