That actually happened to me. I took a differential equations
course in which the professor was nearly blind. I did other
homework during class and never cracked the book until the
night before the final exam. Then I found differential equations
was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I got through
learning enough to pass, with the all-night help of a frat brother,
but I remember almost nothing at all about differential equations
now.
