anti-semitic bull***:
Earl, I did as you suggested. The crap you posted is
worthless anti-semitism. The source, a crack pot, and the
people who spread it, anti-semites like yourself. When I was
a kid, the shoe store my parents took me to had a
fluoroscope which permitted me to view a real time x-ray of
my feet. Stick your feet in there, look through the scope,
and there were the bones in exquisite detail -- outlined by
my new shoes. Quite a novelty. The kids loved it, I loved
it, and of course it was believed to be harmless. Twenty
years later I developed a non-malignant tumor which grew
from the root of the nail of a toe on my left foot.
Jeff,
I am well aware of the state of knowledge regarding medical
dosages in that period.
I was doing science experiments at Western Reserve in Cleveland
using their Xray machines about 4 years later.
The things that are mentioned are medical treatments that never
would have been permitted. And yes I saw the xray fluroscopes in
shoe stores. If you would look into them carefully you would
find they were permitted because the cumulative dose expected
was below the legal dose level. It was discovered that some
equipment was faulty and poorly maintained, hense doses higher
than permitted. When they were found to exceed limits they were
pulled. The benefits of a properly operating machine were
outweighed by the liabilities for a faulty devise. Not as in
this case where prescribed levels were thousands of times
greater than legal limits. Any piece of hardware can have
mechanical or software faults, accidents happen and you get on
with life..
You are forgetting that radiation is an area I studied, along
with the history. Permissable doses dropped sharply from the 20s
when a medical dose was measured by the reddening of the skin,
to fixed energy amounts established by around '45. The levels
have since dropped from 500 mr to our current 300mr/quarter for
only a small part of society and about 100mr for the bulk.
And Dr Barr is correct in saying that Xray treatment was one
alternative for treatment (If you had the disease!!!). High
amputation of the leg is a treatment for a hangnail. My sister
had a case of ringworm at the same time. Treatment was limited
to topical chemical treatment on a shaven head. No one suggested
the use of ultra high radiation doses as a first treatment. A
proper medical regime starts with the lowest level of
intervention needed to cure the problem, and proceeds to more
extreme measures. It does not start out with the most severe as
a prophilactic measure on individuals with no signs of the
disease.,
As to antisemitism of the reviewer, I saw Google had his posts
picked up elsewhere. But so what. Note his address is in Israel,
and his original pub, those were Israeli sources. This was also
an item that has been a topic in Separdic pubs, but many are
language specific.
Would an untrue documentary receive awards in Haifa????
Did the events occur -- no one seems to deny them, they just
want to change the topic. The truth goes away if you ignore it
hard enough.
Was the Dr in charge a racist extremist - he was a well known
eugenicist with rather pronounced views on racial purity.
Do antiisraeli individuals like the story - you bet, nothing is
better than to show the hypocracy of a batch of stuffed shirt
supermen.
A true antisemite would however be praising the "good" doctor in
his efforts at racial cleansing rather than condem the actions
for the inhumanity that it was..
