Common painkillers such as ibuprofen can double the risk of suffering a
heart attack, a study has found.

Research published in the British Medical Journal analysed results of 138
trials involving 140,000 patients over several years. It found that
ibuprofen and diclofenac, two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
(NSAIDs), could cause attacks when taken in high doses.

The drugs have been previously noted for increasing heart attack risk but
experts say that this is the biggest and most definitive study of its kind.

I read this article and they don't tell us what the dosage is for their
study or what they mean by "high" dosage.

I noticed that and it is not helpful. I take ibuprofen for my spinal stenosis. Usually 400 mg. three times a day. It is a cheap OTC
drug and more effective than some pricier drugs that were prescribed for me. So I would like to know what is a "high dose".

I took an 800 mg. ibuprofen a few minutes ago. The prescription says take one three times a day with or without food.
