Yes. By pre-arrangement I mean to talk to funeral homes and
make a decision who to go with , and get an idea what the
comparative expenses are. The time to do this stuff is when
there is no pressure and plenty of time to talk it over with
friends and family.... I didn't mean to pay any money up
front, in spite of the sales pitch, but rather to determine what
to do so the phone numbers and instructions are at the
fingertips of the survivors...
Possibly an envelope with "In the Event of my Death" written
on it. \
Anyway, today I am going to contact some local funeral homes,
and maybe the Neptune Society, to see if they handle
cremations and pickup and delivery. Probly the funeral director
I talk to can give me additional insight on who to call and in
what order....

No need for an ambulance, and possibly several thousand
dollars of delivery expenses, when a funeral home has a
hearse availble for pickup.

If I learn anything new, I'll post it here.
