Let's face it, there are way too many agencies and politicos dependent on
drug war funding.
Absolutely. Ever since they started letting local police departments
seize and keep profits and property from drug busts, Police have
become dependant on such seizures.

Yes. And it would seem that corrupt police can no longer extort bribe
money from those who posses small ammounts of the stuff. But it does
seem to me to be a headache for the local authorities and lots of
American teenagers who go down to Mexico for "fun". Look at spring
break problems in Florida. But perhaps this boom for tourist dollars
will decrease the number of illegal immigrants to our country.
