That's because American engineers, managers,and scientists are among the
world's worst and are incapable of competing with not only the Japanese, but
also the Germans, Koreans, and soon the Chinese. They are driven by the
bottom line, greed, and their own enrichment.
We need more foreign companies to locate their auto assembly plants here,
something that is happening already, and put these republicon so called
automakers out of business.
The Auto workers can transfer to those companies. I don't think any foreign
company would want to buy any American Auto company.
We already gave up the motorcycle and electronics business, autos need to
be next.

No surprise there, Consumer Reports never endorses American-made vehicles.
It's had an ongoing love affair with Japanese vehicles for decades.
