that's $2700 per person just to pay interest ...
That's $2700 down the drain

All my money market funds is invested in fderal bonds and
pays me fairly well.
Also bond interest of social security's $2 trillion trust fund now
pays for one third of its annual payments. So I consider the debt
is paying 1/3rd of my SS.
So some of use are profiting from the debt.
