You are correct Alan. If he argued that Bush's efforts elsewhere have
helped prevent further attacks he might have a point.
Iraq however is NOT part of the global war on terrorism. There were
no terrorists there before we invaded. Most of those in Iraq using
terrorist methods are iraqis just fighting an invading force as we
would if we were invaded. They are using the means available to them.
There are a few terrorists from other countries in Iraq who can leave
any time and continue terrorizing from elsewhere.
