I made an earlier comment on this, Connie. I posted two articles at
the same time, , one which said that all was chaos in New Orleans, and
the other which wrote as if the storm had passed over and left New
Orleans without much damage. I commented on why two articles should
be so different.
Either it shows some irresponsibility on the part of the article you
mention, or perhaps there was a lull between the time the storm passed
over New Orleans, and the full extent of the damage caused by the
breakdown of the two levees and the pumps. I doubt that any lull
could have been more than the briefest of times.
Therefore , it would seem that this particular article was the result
of irresponsible journalism from someone who was too eager to get a
story out without waiting for the facts.
