Of course, most of our leaders have been Christian. And the Church has
played a strong role in our society. But most of us are not practicing
Christians. If we were, then the country would probably be in a lot
better shape. Our Founders may have had a few symbols etc, but their
intention was never that the church would ever play even a symbolic
role in the governance of our country. They would never have wanted
Christian fanaticism to get a hold of our country.

We are a lot safer today for all the aliances that we have formed.
Moreover, we have increasing diversity in the country. It's always
made the country stronger.
