Ever try it? The most interesting humanities course I ever took in
college, was a combination of history anjd literature. When you studies
about ancient Greece, you also read Plato and Greek plays. When you
studied the Hebrews, you read from the old testiment and I can't think
of a better way of putting the times in context. History, which I had
found to be the dullest of subjects in highschool, came alive in
college.

Of course I don't want to see religion tought *as* religion in public
schools, but the study *of* religion, fascinating.
