This is not wildlife. Your deer ar an artificially large population caused
by human's provision of a grassy buffet of tender greens, and the removal
of the natural enemies of the deer, like wolves.

If you provide a buffet, diners will come. We have the same problem. Even
deer-resistant plants are pulled out of the ground, and left uneaten.

And the ones that havn't learned to live with humans stealing their habitat
have been extinguished.

American's fixation with lawns is a mental disease. The only reason lawns
became a status symbol was that English estates wanted to send the message
that they were so rich, that they had land that wasn't needed for grazing.

I've seen crows getting their butts kicked by much smaller birds defending
their nests & young.
