You are ignorant of the fact that my fibromyalgia
makes it very painful for me to type.
David, if you added up all the keystrokes you've wasted cutting &
pasting other people's words, the keystrokes you've wasted flinging
insults at your detractors, and keystrokes you've wasted talking
about two subjects (Thiering and climate-change-denial) that no-one
cares about, you'd have enough keystrokes to post several coherant,
interesting articles in your very own words.
If it hurts to type, then wouldn't it make more sense to make the
every key stroke worth the effort?
For that matter... When did this fibromyalgia come into being?
Surely, had this been a relevant component of the question of why
David refuses to post in his own words, he would have mentioned it in
any of the dozens of previous times this had come up.
David has made mention of fibromyalgia before, but the sheer quantity of
posts that he makes in Usenet (he would have had to have done searches to
find his source material) suggests that if indeed he does have fibromyalgia,
it doesn't significantly interfere with his ability to operate a keyboard
and mouse.
Instead, he offered other justifications, including the time where he
specifically asserted that he can't say things in his own words,
because when he does, people criticize him. He has only invented
this new one in response to the discovery that he does not get the
adoration he so desperately seeks by using the other ones.
I've known people who actually have fibromyalgia. I have no reason
at all to believe that David does. His testimony is unpersuasive,
because he has admitted himself that he says things which he does not
actually mean. Furthermore, he has characteristic behaviors of a
class of mental disorders which would preclude reliance on his words.
That said... Yowie's point is quite valid. If David really has some
issue which makes it painful for him to type, there are many ways he
could reduce the amount of typing he does WITHOUT losing the use of
his own words.
Aye. But that would mean he would have to admit to himself that many of his
words he types serve no useful purpose. That is unlikely to happen.
