Thank you for the links. Can it safely be assumed then that
the early and highly destructive tornadoes we are having
in the midwest are a sign of the climate shift reversing itself

of a climaxing weather pattern that will peak out and then
wind down slowly ?

THank you ahead of time.

I will investigate the ENSO cycle for whatever influence the
Pacific ocean currents have on expected midwest tornado
outbreaks.

"Specific severe weather forecasting more than days in advance
is little more than guessing, or using tornado climatology for
the forecast area and time of year."

Thank you David. I know their are others that will appreciate
a deeper understanding of the weather we are having.

Overe this sid eof the planet (East coast of Australia) we're enjoying
more rain and cooler temperatures than usual. It makes a nice change, and
its a reief to know that the dams are above 50% capacity agian.

We were hit by a tornado yesterday evening about 6:40 pm CST. I was
standing in the
front yard watching the clouds whan it dipped down briefly. Wind speeds
hit approx.
100 mph as the wind twisted the tops from trees just north of my house,
and ruflled
the shingles on our homes. We sustained minor damage, but my security
camera caught
it all on tape. I've got to contact the insurnce people this morning and
have them come and
look the roof over.

I just hate to see the season start again, and so early !
